Meet Dr. Wagner
Dr. Wagner received his B.S. in Biology in 1994 after attending Wake Forest University and Florida State University. In 1998, he graduated with Honors from the University of Florida College of Dentistry with a top five ranking in his class of 80. As a result, he was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society.
Since graduating from dental school, Dr. Wagner has made it a point to stay at the forefront of dentistry. Because the art and science of dentistry is changing so rapidly, he has committed to taking over 100 hours of continuing education each year to provide the latest techniques and advancements. It is his fundamental desire to bring the best possible care to his guests.
He feels privileged to have studied under some of the leaders in dentistry today (e.g. Peter Dawson, Frank Spears, John Kois). In December of 2003, Dr. Wagner made a commitment to the curriculum at the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) (www.lvilive.com). Under the guidance of Dr.’s Bill Dickerson, Mike Miyasaki, Clayton Chan, Norm Thomas, Heidi Dickerson, and Norman Thomas, he has learned the most advanced cosmetic and restorative techniques available today.
In addition, Dr. Wagner has equipped his office to provide his guests with some of the best “high-tech tools” available today. He believes that you will appreciate these advantages because they will help your experience be exceptional.
Personal Information: "Beyond the tooth"
Dr. Wagner was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. He is a proud Gator fan (though he respects the needs of others to have “other schools” as their favorites). Outside of the office, his favorite pursuits are golf, surfing, and music. He is an accomplished guitarist and singer. He also calls himself a “waterman”, as he loves surfing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, water skiing, scuba diving, windsurfing, and fishing. He believes that “play” allows him to balance the intensity of work and study so that he can be a better dentist for you. “Work hard and play hard” are words that you will hear him say, and it reflects his passion for life.
Dr. Wagner met the woman of his dreams in 2005. Her name is Kate. They got married March 18th, 2006 on the beach at Hanna Park in Jacksonville, FL. They did not wait long to start building a family. Their son, Austin, was born in March of 2007, and Amelia Anne was born in July of 2008! Two beautiful children to go along with two beautiful Weimereiners has made a complete family that they are blessed to have.
